![]() I have been told that I "daze off" and I don't always remember doing it. I feel numbness in my face, but I always thought it just went to sleep like a foot will. I experience deja vu a lot, but I never thought it was a big deal. I am going to see a neurologist, and I don't know what is relevant and what is normal. ![]() I bit my lip open at some point, which has also never happened when I have fainted. The nurse practitioner who witnessed it is very experienced, and she said my eyes were moving like I was having a seizure. I have fainted several times in my life, and I have never been told I look like I'm having a seizure I always have had warning and I have always had some reason for why it happened. ![]() In the ER, another nurse practitioner suggested I may be experiencing focal seizures, and this was just the first time it was generalized. The ER physician said some people are "just wired that way", and so. I went to an ER across the street, and the ER physician said that I probably fainted, even though EVERY SINGLE TEST they ran- Anemia/ Blood sugar/ electrolytes/ blood pressure/ EKG- it was ALL normal! There wasn't anything that occurred in the room that would have triggered it (Hi, how are you? How are your prescriptions working for you?) I also was not sleep deprived. I felt like I was waking up from sleep when I heard the nurse saying I had a seizure to the physician. I had just enough time to realize I felt a heavy head feeling, and the next thing I remember is hearing music (no music was playing in the room). This past Monday, I was in the room with a patient and the Nurse Practitioner. student, and I shadow a physician every Monday.
